Advantages of Performance Tyres

Posted on March 30th 2015 by adtrak.admin

Although everyday car use might seem to require less than the best when it comes to choosing which new tyres to purchase, there are many advantages to choosing performance tyres when replacing a used set. Although they are more expensive than part-worn tyres, or even brand new all-season tyres, they are likely to repay investment many times over, and are certainly worth considering if you are concerned about safety, efficiency or performance. Advantages of Winter Tyres

Posted on January 28th 2015 by adtrak.admin

During the winter, the UK gets fairly minimal snow and extreme cold conditions do not last for long periods which may go some way to explaining why the uptake of winter tyres is low compared with other countries. The Importance of Tyre Safety

Posted on September 2nd 2014 by adtrak.admin

Get the pressure right Both under-pressurised and over-pressurised tyres can make driving your vehicle an unsafe experience, increasing the risk of road accidents. Incorrect tyre pressure can jeopardise car handling, reduce grip and decrease braking performance. Damage can be done to the inner-tyre by over-pressurisation, whilst under-pressurisation erodes the outer-tyre by increasing the rate at which the tread is worn away, shortening the tyre’s life span. Damage to the inner- or outer-tyre, such as puncture, or malfunctional valve, will lower tyre pressure to the point of deflation. Tyre pressure should be checked once a month. The correct pressure specifications, typically measured... Continue reading
